Sponsored by Sonoma County Library, this free program is part of  the Library’s Teen Summer Reading Program. All are invited to attend. Jason Thompson, a Healdsburg High graduate, served as full-time editor of the monthly Shonen Jump before turning his expertise to the study of manga. He will talk about both manga and anime and how he got into the business. For prospective authors and illustrators he will give information on what it takes to produce and draw a manga and break into the business. Come and learn about the history of manga in Japan and the United States.
